BOILEX 2011 was the first international shoreline oil spill exercise held in the Baltic Sea. The three days long exercise started with a table top exercise day one, was followed by the field exercise day two and ended with a seminar for experiences and conclusions day three.  

The main purpose of BOILEX was to improve collaboration between the Central Baltic countries in case of a shoreline oil spill crisis.
